Weird Humble-izing

I think it's all sinking in now. We had practice yesterday. I get to play with a great group of kids. They're very talented, creative, and well-shaped people. So it sunk in. I think I'm now getting "officially" excited about SOS.

The theme for the youth conference this year is entitled "Revelation Generation". That means the stage, t-shirts, lanyards, programs, signs, talks and everything will be labeled as "Revelation Generation". I was telling my girlfriend last night about it because I have one of the keychain lanyards that 825+ teenagers will be wearing all week and it hit me. This weird humbling.

It was February of 2006 when my buddy Matt McCoy and I decided to write a song based upon our church's vision of building a youth center (which is now the Student Union). During the time, "I had a revelation of a generation singing loud"... And now, those two words will be dangling from 825+ teenagers' necks.

It is a weird humbling, I guess. But overall, who cares? It should be a great and powerful week. I'm excited.
